DSAS — DEFENSIVE SECURITY ACOUSTIC SYSTEM

During our operations, our clients have repeatedly faced attacks by armed pirates, organized criminal groups, raiders and aggressive individuals.

In many cases, the use of conventional weapons for protection was not possible because operations were conducted within jurisdictions where the possession or use of weapons was restricted or prohibited by local law.

For this reason, ASPG CARAVAN began using a new security solution — the Defensive Security Acoustic System (DSAS).

DSAS is classified as long-range directional acoustic equipment and is manufactured in the United States.

Purpose

DSAS can be used to protect:

  • ships and maritime facilities;
  • ports and airports;
  • luxury shops and shopping malls;
  • hotels;
  • schools and churches;
  • private houses, estates and villas.

The system is designed to help protect secured areas against individual offenders and organized groups of aggressive intruders or marauders.

How It Works

When one or more individuals enter a protected area, motion sensors are activated and automatically trigger DSAS.

Step 1 — Information

The system informs the individuals that they have entered a private or restricted area.

Step 2 — Instruction to Leave

The system instructs them to leave the protected territory and provides five seconds to comply.

Step 3 — Directional Warning

If the instruction is ignored, a directional high-intensity acoustic signal of up to 156 dB is activated.

DSAS can operate autonomously through a dedicated application or be controlled manually by a security officer.

Potential Effects on Intruders

Exposure to the directional acoustic signal may cause:

  • sharp pain or severe discomfort in the ears;
  • an immediate feeling of anxiety, fear or distress;
  • difficulty identifying the source of the sound;
  • a strong desire to leave the affected area;
  • disorientation, headache, nausea, vomiting or loss of consciousness after prolonged exposure.

The system periodically switches off and returns to:

  • Step 1 — Information; or
  • Step 2 — Instruction to Leave.

Design and Production

DSAS is a certified system manufactured using high-precision electronic and acoustic components.

Each project is designed individually according to the client’s requirements. The complete design and production process may take approximately three to five months.
